A Bedroom Wardrobe Installation in South West London
Our customer in Battersea needed a small safe installed in a new build property. This installation involved a Bloomsbury 40K Size 2 Digital Safe, fitted neatly inside a bedroom wardrobe in the SW11 area.
The customer wanted the safe positioned discreetly rather than out in the open, making the wardrobe a practical and concealed location for day-to-day use.
Once the final position had been agreed, our installer prepared the installation area in the wardrobe for a full joinery fixing installation using the 8 available fixing points in the rear and base of the safe.
All Eight Joinery Fixing Holes Used
This Bloomsbury 40K Size 2 Digital Safe has four fixing holes in the base and four fixing holes in the rear, giving a total of eight available fixing points.
In this installation, all eight of those fixing holes were used. Rather than being fixed to the fabric of the building, the safe was joinery fixed directly to the wardrobe itself using coach bolts. This is because the safe was being installed in a new build property which didn't have the option of fixing directly to a solid brick wall or a concrete floor, due to the nature of the property's construction.
Rear and Base Joinery Fixings
The rear of the safe was fixed through all four rear fixing holes into the back of the wardrobe, helping to secure the safe firmly in position within the cupboard space.
The base of the safe was also fixed through all four base fixing holes into the wardrobe base, so every available fixing point in the cabinet was used on this installation.
This created a very solid furniture fixing, while still keeping the safe neatly contained within the bedroom wardrobe and convenient for the customer to access.
Finished, Checked and Ready for Use
Once all eight fixing points had been secured, our installer cleaned the installation area of any dust or installation debris.
Finally, the customer was shown how to operate and programme the digital keypad and showed them how to use the emergency overide keys, before giving them their certificate of installation.
