A Discreet Lounge Cupboard Installation
For this installation our customer in Oxfordshire required a safe small enough to fit on a shelf inside a cupboard. We suggested the Bloomsbury 40K Size 2 Digital Safe as it was the exact height and ideal width and depth to fit on the shelf inside the cupboard.
The safe's compact dimensions made it well suited to the available cupboard space, while still providing 31 litres of internal storage and an EN14450 S2 security rating with recommended insurance ratings of £4,000 for cash and £40,000 for valuables.
Once positioned on the cupboard shelf, the safe remained discreetly contained within the furniture while still allowing comfortable access to the electronic keypad and safe door.
Four Rear Fixing Points Into the Brick Wall
The Bloomsbury 40K Size 2 has four pre-drilled fixing holes in the rear of the safe, and all four were used for this installation.
After placing the safe in position and marking the four rear fixing points on the wall, our installer placed the safe away from the work area and then drilled the four rear fixing holes through the rear cupboard panel and into the solid brick wall behind.
After cleaning away the dust the safe was then repositioned and the four expanding anchor bolts were tightened through the four safe fixing holes, through the cupboard panel and into the solid brick wall.
Securely Anchored and Neatly Contained
With the four expanding anchor bolts tightened into the brickwork, the safe was firmly secured in its final position without the need for a base fixing.
The finished installation made good use of the existing cupboard space and kept the safe away from immediate view when the cupboard doors were closed.
The Bloomsbury's flush-fitting keypad meant there was plenty of clearance for normal operation within the cupboard.
Finished, Demonstrated and Ready to Use
After completing the fixing work, our installer cleaned the cupboard and surrounding area.
The customer was then shown how to programme and operate the electronic keypad, together with how to use the emergency override keys if ever required and advised how to safely store them.
Before leaving, our installer made sure the customer was comfortable using the safe and gave them their certificate of installation.

About Forest Hill, Oxfordshire OX33
Forest Hill is a small village east of Oxford, forming part of the civil parish of Forest Hill with Shotover. Its elevated position and rural setting place it close to the eastern edge of Oxford while retaining a distinctly village character.
