In this case study London & Home Counties Safes supplied and professionally installed a Brattonsound Sentinel Plus SS7+, for a customer in Regent’s Park, North-West London NW1. The customer required a secure cabinet capable of storing up to seven shotguns or rifles, professionally anchored into the structure of the property.
Precision was key to this fitting, as firearms legislation mandates that safes must be secured to the "fabric of the building" without gaps. To achieve a perfectly flush fit against the structural wall, we trimmed the skirting board on the left-hand side, as you can see at the bottom of the first photo. This technical adjustment eliminates any potential leverage points, a detail that Firearms Officers scrutinize during home inspections to ensure the unit cannot be easily compromised or pried away from the wall.
The physical security of the unit is exceptionally high, utilizing a total of six independent anchoring points. We employed the four rear fixing holes to bolt the safe directly into the masonry wall using strong expanding bolts and utilized the two base fixing holes to secure it with heavy duty screws firmly into the floor. This dual-axis professional safe bolt-down creates an incredibly rigid mount. The safe is locked via a 7-lever double-bitted key system.
