A Compact Eurograde 3 Safe for a South West London Home
Our customer in Tooting was looking for a compact high-security safe with a substantial insurance rating for valuables to be installed in a hidden and hard to find location. After discussing the available positions in the property, we recommended the Amario Eurograde 3 Size 1 Digital Safe and identified the basement as the most suitable place to install it.
The Amario Size 1 is independently certified to EN1143-1 Grade 3 and carries recommended insurance ratings of £35,000 for cash and £350,000 for valuables. Its compact dimensions also make it particularly useful where a high level of protection is required without taking up too much space.
The basement position offered another important advantage on this installation: a solid concrete slab was already in the corner of the basement. This provided an excellent structural surface for a base fixing.
Positioned Directly Over the Concrete Slab
Once the safe had been moved into the basement and placed in its final position, our installer checked the available clearance and confirmed and marked the fixing point through the base.
Because the safe was sitting directly over the concrete slab, there was no need to build up or reinforce the floor before fixing. The concrete provided a strong, solid substrate for the expanding anchor bolt.
The fixing position was marked carefully before the safe was moved aside so that the concrete could be drilled to the correct depth for the anchor.
Heavy-Duty Base Fixing into Concrete
After drilling and cleaning away the dust from the fixing hole, the 130kg safe was repositioned and secured through its base fixing point using one heavy-duty expanding anchor bolt into the concrete slab.
The direct concrete fixing provided a strong structural anchor beneath the safe.
The finished installation left the safe securely anchored in the basement while still allowing comfortable access to the digital keypad, door and internal shelf.
Finished, Demonstrated and Ready to Use
The Amario Eurograde 3 Size 1 provides 18 litres of internal storage and is supplied with one removable shelf. Its external dimensions are 350mm high, 440mm wide and 350mm deep, making it compact for a safe weighing 130kg.
Once the fixing work had been completed, our installer cleaned away his tools and the customer was then shown how to programme and operate the electronic lock and was given their certificate of installation before our installer left the property.
