Installed Above the Built-In Chest of Drawers
The safe was positioned inside the fitted wardrobe on top of the existing built-in chest of drawers.
This elevated position kept the safe discreetly within the wardrobe while allowing it to be reached without bending down to floor level.
The available door clearance and surrounding wardrobe space were checked so the safe door and electronic keypad could be used comfortably.
Two Rear Expanding Anchors into the Brick Wall
The principal structural fixings were two expanding anchor bolts installed through the safe’s two rear fixing holes.
The anchors passed through the wardrobe’s rear panel and into the solid brick wall behind the fitted furniture.
These two rear anchors provided the main structural connection and helped resist the safe being pulled forward or removed from its installed position.
Four Additional Base Fixings into the Wardrobe
The Bloomsbury Size 1 also has four base fixing holes. All four were used to secure the safe to the top of the built-in wardrobe drawers using screws.
These four supporting furniture fixings helped stabilise the safe from below, while the two expanding rear anchors provided the principal structural resistance.
Together, the two rear anchors and four base screws created a six-point fixing arrangement suited to this particular wardrobe position.
Electronic Keypad and Personal PIN Handover
Once the safe had been installed, our the customer was shown how to operate the lock.
We demonstrated how to set a unique personal PIN code and checked that the customer was comfortable opening and locking the safe before completing the handover.
The customer was also advised to choose a PIN that could not easily be guessed and to keep any emergency override keys in a separate secure location.
Installation Cleanup
After completing the fixing work and customer handover, the packaging and installation debris were removed and the wardrobe and surrounding area were left clean and tidy.
