A Compact Grade 1 Keylocking Safe for a Bedroom Wardrobe
Our customer in Highbury & Islington needed a compact Grade 1 safe for protecting cash and valuables but wanted it concealed inside an existing bedroom wardrobe. The safe needed to offer a recommended insurance rating of £10,000 for cash or £100,000 for valuables without taking up excessive wardrobe space.
After discussing the available dimensions, the required Euro Grade security level and the customer’s preference for a traditional key lock, we recommended the KeySecure VICTOR Grade 1 (Size 1) Keylocking Safe. Its compact 400mm × 400mm footprint and 18-litre interior made it well suited to the proposed wardrobe position.
Practical Storage in a Small Space
The safe was positioned discreetly at the base of the wardrobe while remaining convenient to reach and leaving suitable clearance for the key and safe door.
The KeySecure VICTOR measures 400mm high, 400mm wide and 270mm deep externally, making it suitable for compact fitted-furniture locations.
Its interior measures 350mm high, 341mm wide and 157mm deep, providing approximately 18 litres of storage with one adjustable shelf.
The 39kg cabinet combines manageable dimensions with certified Grade 1 burglary resistance and four-way locking protection.
Rear-Anchored through the Wardrobe
The safe was positioned at the base of the bedroom wardrobe with suitable clearance for any overhanging clothes as to not obstruct access to the safe.
An approved expanding anchor bolt was installed through the rear of the safe, through the rear wardrobe panel and into the drilled hole in the wall behind the wardrobe.
Three-Key Locking and Customer Handover
This VICTOR Euro Grade 1 model is fitted with a VdS Class 1 key lock and is supplied with three keys.
Once the safe had been installed, our installer cleared away all tools, dust and debris and left the wardrobe area tidy.
The customer was then shown how to operate the key lock and advised on the best methods for keeping the spare safe keys secure and stored away from the safe itself.
