Finding a Compact Eurograde 1 Safe for a Bathroom Cupboard
Our customer in Putney, South West London needed a certified Eurograde 1 digital safe with a recommended £10,000 cash and £100,000 valuables rating, but wanted it installed discreetly inside a bathroom cupboard.
After discussing the available cupboard space, the customer decided to choose a Eurograde 1 safe with a digital keypad lock, we recommended the KeySecure VICTOR Grade 1 (Size 2E) Digital Safe. Its compact dimensions made it well suited to the bathroom cupboard while still providing 36 litres of secure storage for documents and valuables.
Once the installation position had been agreed, we arranged a delivery and professional installation date at the customer’s property in Putney.
36 Litres of Internal Storage
The KeySecure VICTOR Grade 1 (Size 2E) measures 400mm high, 420mm wide and 420mm deep externally and weighs 55kg.
Internally, it measures 350mm high, 361mm wide and 307mm deep, providing approximately 36 litres of secure storage space.
One adjustable shelf allows the interior to be arranged around jewellery boxes, important paperwork and smaller valuables, while the digital lock provides convenient keyless access within the cupboard.
Rear-Fixed to the Wall with Supporting Joinery Fix
The safe was positioned inside the bathroom cupboard with suitable clearance for the safe door to swing open outside the cupboard. As with all KeySecure VICTOR safes, this model has two pre-drilled fixing holes: one in the rear and one in the base.
The principal fixing was made through the rear fixing hole and into the wall behind the cupboard, securing the safe to the fabric of the building in line with insurance requirements. Our installer drilled through the bathroom cupboard rear panel and into the wall behind. Then the safe was placed and aligned inside the cupboard and an expanding anchor bolt was fixed through the rear of the safe and into the brick wall behind.
An additional joinery fixing was also installed through the base fixing hole into the wooden base of the cupboard, providing extra support at floor level. After completing the installation, our installer cleared away all tools, dust and installation debris before showing the customer how to programme and use the digital keypad. Our installer also gave the customer a certificate of installation.
