Why the Burton Eurovault Aver Grade 1 Size 3 Was Recommended

London & Home Counties Safes supplied and professionally installed a Burton Eurovault Aver LFS Grade 1 Size 3 Digital Safe for a customer in Victoria, Central London SW1E.

The customer’s insurer had requested a Eurograde 1 safe. The customer also required a relatively large interior because folders containing a valuable stamp collection needed to be stored securely inside it.

The Size 3 provided the larger internal space required for the customer’s stamp-collection folders while retaining a practical format for residential installation.

The Eurovault Aver is independently tested and certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 1 and is normally assigned a recommended insurance rating of £10,000 for cash or £100,000 for valuables.

It is also certified to EN 15659 LFS 30P, providing up to 30 minutes’ fire protection for paper documents. Customers should confirm the required grade, monetary rating and installation conditions with their own insurer.

Secure Storage for a Valuable Stamp Collection

The customer needed sufficient internal space for folders and albums containing their valuable stamp collection. This allowed the collection to remain organised rather than being compressed into a smaller safe.

The safe’s LFS 30P certification provides tested fire protection for paper documents. Owners of valuable stamps, albums and archival materials should also consider whether any specialist storage or environmental conditions are required for their particular collection.

Battery-Powered Electronic Access

The customer preferred electronic access, so the digital version was selected. The battery-powered keypad operates using a personal six-digit user code and does not require a connection to the property’s mains electricity.

The electronic lock also provides master-code functionality and an audible warning when the battery level becomes low.

Discreet Safe Delivery in Central London

Privacy was particularly important for this Central London delivery. We arrived in an unmarked vehicle and kept the safe covered while it was being moved into the property.

This discreet approach helped avoid drawing unnecessary attention to the fact that a security safe was being installed at the address.
