This job was quite some time ago, hence the poor quality pictures (you can click on the pictures if you want to expand them). Our customer was based in leafy Totteridge in North London N20.

They needed a safe installed that would meet insurance requirements and be installed to a standard approved by their insurance company for storing valuables up to £40,000.

They opted for this Bloomsbury 40K (Size 2) Digital Safe which we installed inside a fitted wardrobe, up on top of a chest of drawers that was built in. That way it was nice and easy for them to use, they didn't have to bend down as they were an elderly couple.

The safe was bolted to the brick wall that was behind the rear panel with four expanding anchors. It was very robustly installed, we cleaned up and tidied the work area. We showed the client how to use the safe, how to set their own code and how to safely store the emergency keys that come with the safe (that you should definitely not store inside the safe!).

Totteridge is where the London skyline fades into rolling hills and white picket fences. This N20 enclave is essentially the city's version of the deep countryside, famously structured as a "long village" along a narrow ridge. It is synonymous with high-walled privacy, sprawling mansions, and the vast, protected greenery of Totteridge Common. At its heart lies Totteridge Green, a space that feels more like a Cotswolds postcard than a London suburb. The area’s history is literally rooted in the ground, specifically at St. Andrew’s Church, home to an ancient yew tree estimated to be over 2,000 years old. While it shares a postcode with the more commercial Whetstone, Totteridge remains a quiet sanctuary for those who value cricket on the green and walks through Darlands Lake Nature Reserve over the neon lights of the West End. It is the ultimate "country-lite" lifestyle for those who want the fields without losing the Northern Line.
