Burton Eurovault Aver LFS Grade 1 Size 3 Digital Safe Installed in Cobham, Surrey
(case study 01431)
Why the Burton Eurovault Aver Grade 1 Size 3 Was Recommended
London & Home Counties Safes recently supplied and professionally installed a Burton Eurovault Aver LFS Grade 1 Size 3 Digital Safe for a homeowner in Cobham, Surrey KT11. The customer required a substantial safe for jewellery, watches, cash, important documents and other valuable possessions.
The Eurovault Aver is independently tested and certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 1 and is normally assigned a recommended insurance rating of £10,000 for cash or £100,000 for valuables. It is also certified to EN 15659 LFS 30P, providing up to 30 minutes’ fire protection for paper documents.
Customers should confirm the required security grade, monetary rating and installation conditions with their own insurer before purchasing.
The Size 3 measures 655mm high, 440mm wide and 430mm deep externally, with approximately 40mm additional projection for the handle. Its internal dimensions are 574mm high, 364mm wide and 300mm deep, providing 63 litres of storage capacity. The safe weighs 155kg and includes one internal shelf. Safe Positioned in a Room Corner
The safe was positioned in a corner of the room, making practical use of the available floor space while keeping the electronic keypad easily accessible.
Before installation, the delivery route, available dimensions, door clearance, wall construction and floor condition were checked to ensure that the 155kg safe could be positioned and operated correctly.
Rear Wall and Base Fixing
One high-strength anchor was installed through the rear fixing point and into the structural wall behind the safe.
One additional fixing was installed through the safe’s base fixing hole and into the floor beneath it.
Securing the safe in two directions helped stabilise its 155kg body and resist movement away from the wall or across the floor.
The rear wall fixing and base fixing were retained exactly as completed for this installation. The page does not identify the floor material, so no unconfirmed substrate has been added.
Grade 1 Security and LFS 30P Fire Protection
The safe uses three-point locking with 23mm-diameter locking bolts. Its EN 1143-1 Grade 1 certification relates to burglary resistance, while its separate EN 15659 LFS 30P certification provides tested fire protection for paper documents.
The 63-litre interior provides space for jewellery boxes, watch cases, cash, passports, legal documents and other valuables. The internal shelf helps separate smaller items from larger folders and storage cases.
Electronic Lock Setup and Customer Handover
Once the safe had been secured and the work area tidied, we demonstrated the high-security electronic lock. We helped the customer programme their personal six-digit access code and showed them the normal locking and unlocking procedure.
We also explained the audible low-battery warning and how to replace the 9V battery when required.

About Cobham, Surrey
Cobham is a historic settlement in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, within the KT11 postcode district. The River Mole runs through the area and has played an important role in the development of its historic centre.
Cobham developed from the communities of Church Cobham, Street Cobham and Downside. Evidence of early settlement has been identified locally, while the medieval village developed around St Andrew’s Church and land associated with Chertsey Abbey.
St Andrew’s Church is a Grade I-listed building that includes medieval fabric, later additions and nineteenth-century restoration work.
Cobham Mill stands beside the River Mole. The present building dates from the nineteenth century and has been restored as a working mill and local heritage attraction.
Nearby Painshill is an eighteenth-century landscape garden created by the Honourable Charles Hamilton. Its lake, planting and architectural features were designed as a sequence of carefully composed views.
Cobham is an important Surrey service area for London & Home Counties Safes. We supply and professionally install home safes, fire safes and higher-security Eurograde safes throughout Cobham, Weybridge, Esher, Oxshott, Stoke d’Abernon and surrounding KT11 areas.
