A Euro Grade Two Safe for an Under Stair Cupboard
This installation was for a customer in Littlehampton, West Sussex who wanted a certified Eurograde 2 safe positioned discreetly inside an under stair storage cupboard.
The chosen model was the KeySecure VICTOR Grade 2 (Size 1E) Digital Safe, which has recommended insurance ratings of £17,500 for cash and £175,000 for valuables.
At 450mm high, 450mm wide and 465mm deep, the Size 1E is a relatively compact Euro Grade 2 safe and it fitted neatly into the available cupboard space.
An Ideal Concrete Floor for the Main Fixing
One of the advantages of this particular cupboard was the solid concrete floor beneath the safe. For a base-fixed installation, this was an ideal fixing surface because the anchor could be expanded directly into the concrete, meaning the safe would be fixed to the fabric of the building.
KeySecure VICTOR safes have two pre-drilled fixing holes, one in the rear and one in the base.
Anchored Directly into the Concrete
Once the final safe position had been checked and marked, our installer drilled through the concrete floor.
After drilling, the safe was repositioned to line up with the hole and an expanding anchor bolt was then installed through the base of the safe and tightened into the concrete below. This gave the 109kg safe a strong structural fixing directly into the fabric of the building.
For this particular location, the concrete floor made the installation especially straightforward and provided exactly the kind of solid base we look for when using an expanding anchor bolt as the main fixing.
Final Checks, Cleaning and Customer Handover
The KeySecure VICTOR Grade 2 (Size 1E) provides approximately 36 litres of internal storage and includes one adjustable shelf, giving the customer useful space for jewellery, documents and other valuables without requiring an excessively large cabinet.
Once the installation was complete, our installer checked the safe was secure, cleaned the cupboard and surrounding work area and removed the drilling dust and installation debris.
He then showed the customer how to programme and operate the Wittkopp Primor digital keypad, made sure they were comfortable using the safe and gave them their certificate of installation before leaving.

About Littlehampton and West Sussex BN17
Littlehampton is a seaside town on the West Sussex coast, positioned at the mouth of the River Arun between Worthing and Bognor Regis. Its setting combines the character of a traditional coastal resort with a working harbour, marina and long stretches of beach.
