Why the Bloomsbury 40K Size 1 Was Recommended

London & Home Counties Safes supplied and professionally installed a Bloomsbury 40K Size 1 Digital Safe for a customer in Bosham, near Chichester, West Sussex PO18.

The customer required a compact electronic safe that could be accommodated neatly within an existing fitted wardrobe without taking up the hanging space below.

The Size 1 is the smallest model in the Bloomsbury 40K range and was well suited to the available wardrobe shelf.

Compact Dimensions for a Wardrobe Installation

The safe measures 217mm high, 353mm wide and 305mm deep externally. Its internal dimensions are 200mm high, 340mm wide and 245mm deep.

It weighs 25kg and provides 16 litres of internal storage. One removable shelf allows jewellery boxes, watches, cash, passports and smaller documents to be organised across two levels.

Installed on an Elevated Wardrobe Shelf

The safe was positioned on an elevated wooden shelf within the fitted wardrobe, above the hanging storage area.

This made effective use of the available wardrobe space while keeping the safe discreet and readily accessible.

The safe was positioned towards the left-hand side of the compartment with sufficient space in front and to the right for the door to open fully.

Two Visible Rear Fixing Points

The open-safe photograph clearly shows the two fixing bolts on the inside rear panel of the safe.

Two expanding anchor bolts were used through the back of the safe, through the rear wardrobe panel and into the wall behind. Then for extra resistance four screws were used to fix the safe down onto the wardrobe shelf.

Electronic Keypad and Emergency Access Features

This safe comes with a digital lock with a 6–10 digit user code, emergency override keys and an external battery power point for use if the internal battery becomes depleted.

Once the safe had been installed, we completed the customer handover and explained how to operate the electronic keypad. We demonstrated how to set a unique personal PIN code and advised the customer to choose a code that could not easily be guessed. We explained how to open and lock the safe correctly and checked that the customer was comfortable operating the keypad before completing the installation. After completing the installation and customer handover, we removed the packaging and installation debris and left the wardrobe and surrounding area clean and tidy.
