A Compact S2 Keylocking Safe for an Underfloor Cupboard
The customer in Rye required a compact insurance-rated safe for cash, valuables and important documents, but preferred the simplicity of a traditional key lock rather than an electronic keypad. After discussing the available space, we recommended the Securikey Mini Vault S2 Gold FR 1 Keylocking Safe and the underfloor cupboard as the most practical installation position.
The cupboard also had the advantage of a solid concrete floor beneath the safe, giving our installer an excellent structural surface for a direct base fixing.
Two Base Fixings Directly into the Concrete
Once the safe had been positioned correctly inside the cupboard, the base fixing points were marked onto the laminate floor beneath it.
Our installer then moved the safe clear of the work area, drilled the two required fixing holes through the laminate flooring and into the concrete underneath.
Two heavy-duty expanding anchor bolts were then passed through the base of the safe and tightened directly into the concrete floor, giving the safe two strong structural fixing points.
A Solid Base Fixing in a Discreet Position
With both expanding anchor bolts fully tightened, the safe was securely fixed to the concrete floor and sat neatly within the underfloor cupboard.

Finished, Cleaned and Ready to Use
After completing the fixing work, our installer then cleaned the cupboard and surrounding work area of any remaining dust or installation debris.
The customer was shown how to operate the key lock correctly and advised on the best methods for keeping the keys safe and in good condition.
Before leaving, our installer made sure the customer was happy with the finished installation and gave them their certificate of installation.

About Rye, East Sussex TN31
