Euro Grade 2 Security in a hidden space

Our customer in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire needed a certified Grade 2 digital safe with a recommended insurance rating of £17,500 for cash or £175,000 for valuables, but wanted it installed discreetly inside an existing wine closet.

After discussing the available space, required level of protection and preferred digital operation, we recommended the KeySecure VICTOR Grade 2 (Size 3E) Digital Safe. Its compact footprint, 81-litre capacity and adjustable shelf made it a practical Eurograde safe for the proposed location.

Once the customer was happy with our recommendation, we arranged delivery and professional installation, positioning the safe so it remained concealed from the main living areas while still being easily accesible.

Useful Capacity without an Oversized Footprint

The KeySecure VICTOR Grade 2 (Size 3E) measures 700mm high, 550mm wide and 465mm deep externally and weighs 173kg.

Its internal dimensions are 600mm high, 440mm wide and 305mm deep, producing approximately 81 litres of secure storage.

It has one adjustable shelf that separates the interior into two practical sections and can be repositioned or removed when taller items need to be stored.

Anchored through the Rear and Base

The safe was bolted through its rear into the wall behind it after drilling, using an approved high strength expanding anchor bolt.

As well as the rear fixing bolt, our installer also used another expanding anchor bolt which went through the base fixing hole, through the drilled quarry tiles and into the concrete underneath.

Having the safe fixed to both the wall and floor allowed for a robust installation, making it very difficult for an intruder to remove.

Digital Access and Customer Handover

This VICTOR Euro Grade 2 model is operated by a VdS Class 2 Wittkopp Primor electronic lock and uses four-way locking, including protection along the hinge side.

Once the installation was secure, our installer cleared away all of the tools and installation debris.

With the wine closet left tidy, the customer was shown how to programme and use the digital keypad so the safe was ready for everyday use.
