For this project in Cobham (KT11), we installed a Burton Safes Eurovault Aver LFS Grade 1 (Size 3) Digital Safe to provide a robust security upgrade for a private residence. This specific model is a premier choice for high-value protection, offering an insurance-certified Eurograde 1 rating that covers up to £10,000 in cash or £100,000 in valuables. This offers protection so that important paper documents remain protected for up to 30 minutes in the event of a fire, providing the homeowner with comprehensive peace of mind.

The safe was strategically positioned in a corner to minimize its footprint while remaining easily accessible for daily use. As shown in the photos, the unit’s sleek design and colour blends cleanly into the modern interior. To guarantee the installation met strict insurance standards, we utilized both the single base fixing hole and the rear fixing hole. By anchoring the safe into both the floor and the structural wall, we created a dual-point attachment that significantly increases the force required for any attempted removal, effectively making the safe part of the building's fabric.

The Euro Grade One Size 3 variant offers a generous internal capacity, as seen in the photo to the left, where the open door reveals a spacious interior equipped with an adjustable shelf for organizing jewellery, watches, and legal documents. After securing the safe and tidying up, we finalized the setup by assisting the client with their digital keypad setup. Cobham is an affluent and historic village located in the borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, falling within the KT11 postcode district. It is situated approximately 17 miles southwest of central London, nestled along the banks of the River Mole. The village occupies a prime location just outside the Greater London boundary, bordered by Esher to the northeast and Weybridge to the northwest. It is exceptionally well-connected for motorists, sitting near the intersection of the A3 arterial road and the M25 motorway (Junction 10). For rail travellers, Cobham & Stoke d'Abernon station offers a direct and frequent service to London Waterloo, making it a highly desirable enclave for professionals and families seeking a semi-rural lifestyle with rapid city access. The history of Cobham spans back to the Iron Age, with evidence of early settlements found at Leigh Hill. It was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as "Coveham," a name likely derived from a Saxon personal name. For much of the medieval period, the village was under the influence of Chertsey Abbey, which managed the local mills and agricultural land. Its development was significantly influenced by its position as a major stop on the coaching route between London and Portsmouth, leading to the establishment of several historic inns and grand estates. In the 18th century, the landscape was transformed by the creation of Painshill Park, one of the finest examples of an English landscape garden. During the 20th century, Cobham evolved from a quiet agricultural community into an exclusive residential area, gaining further international recognition in 2004 when Chelsea Football Club established its world-class training ground in the village, attracting many of the sport's high-profile figures to the area. The primary attraction for visitors is Painshill Park, a magnificent 158-acre Grade I listed landscape garden created by the Honorable Charles Hamilton. The park features a series of "living paintings," including a breath-taking Crystal Grotto, a Gothic Temple, and a vineyard. Another major landmark is the Cobham Mill, a fully restored 19th-century watermill situated on the River Mole; it is the only working watermill in Surrey and offers public demonstrations on specific open days. The village centre, particularly around Between Streets and the High Street, boasts a sophisticated selection of independent boutiques, high-end galleries, and acclaimed restaurants, maintaining a vibrant but traditional atmosphere. Nearby, the historic church of St Andrew’s features a 12th-century tower and a rare 13th-century brass. For those seeking outdoor recreation, the surrounding Surrey Hills (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the National Trust’s Chatley Heath offer extensive walking and cycling trails.
