KeySecure Victor Grade 1 Size 2E Digital Safe Fitted in Berkshire
(case study 03317)
This safe installation was for a client in Sandhurst (GU47), located in the beautiful county of Berkshire. For this installation, the homeowner required premium protection for significant assets, leading to the selection of the KeySecure Victor Grade 1 (Size 2E) Digital Safe. This is a serious piece of security hardware; as a Eurograde 1 insurance-rated safe, it is certified to protect up to £10,000 in cash or £100,000 in valuables, making it the ideal choice for high-end watch collections and valuable jewellery.
As shown in the photos, the safe was discreetly integrated into a modern fitted wardrobe system. This placement allows the safe to remain hidden behind closed doors while remaining at a convenient height for the user. Integrating a Euro Grade 1 safe into cabinetry requires a professional touch to balance accessibility with the rigorous physical security required to maintain its insurance rating.
To ensure the safe is an immovable part of the property, we performed a precision bolt-down service using a dual-anchoring method. We secured the unit to the rear wall using a high-strength expanding anchor bolt after drilling through the wardrobe rear panel and into the wall behind. Then a further point of security with a heavy-duty screw fixed directly into the wardrobe shelf through the bottom fixing hole of the safe. This combination ensures the safe is firmly locked in place, providing a formidable physical deterrent against any attempt at unauthorized removal.
Following the physical installation, we provided a full demonstration of the high-security digital keypad. We demonstrated to the client how to program their unique access code and ensured they were comfortable with the locking operation. We also showed them how to change the battery for the digital keypad, which is simple to do now and again when required. Sandhurst is situated in the south-eastern corner of Berkshire, falling within the GU47 postcode district. It occupies a unique geographic position where the borders of Berkshire, Hampshire, and Surrey meet, making it a true tri-county hub. The town is bordered by Crowthorne to the north, Bracknell to the northeast, and the Surrey town of Camberley to the south. It is well-connected for travellers, with Sandhurst railway station sitting on the North Downs Line, providing direct links to Reading, Guildford, and Gatwick Airport. For those driving, the town is easily reached via the A3095 and sits within close proximity to both the M3 and M4 motorways, serving as a popular residential base for those working in the M4 tech corridor. The name Sandhurst is derived from the Old English words "sand" and "hyrst," which translates to a wooded hill on sandy soil—a fitting description of the local geology. Historically, it was a small, quiet farming community within the ancient parish of Sonning. The town's destiny changed dramatically in the early 19th century when the Royal Military College moved from High Wycombe to its newly built premises in Sandhurst in 1812. This institution, now known as the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), became the premier training centre for officers in the British Army. The presence of the academy spurred the development of the town, transitioning it from a rural backwater into a significant military and residential centre. Throughout the 20th century, Sandhurst expanded further with the construction of various housing estates, yet it has managed to retain a distinct identity separate from its larger neighbours like Camberley. The most iconic landmark in the town is undoubtedly the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. While the academy is an active military base and generally closed to the public, the stunning "Old College" building with its grand Grecian portico is a sight to behold from the perimeter, and the academy occasionally opens its doors for heritage tours and the famous Sovereign’s Parade. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Sandhurst Memorial Park and the adjacent Shepherd Meadows offer over 150 acres of recreational space. These areas provide picturesque walks along the River Blackwater, sporting facilities, and diverse wildlife habitats in the wildflower meadows. The Blackwater Valley Path also runs through here, offering a long-distance trail for hikers and cyclists. For those interested in retail therapy, the town is home to "The Meadows," a massive retail park featuring some of the largest Marks & Spencer and Tesco stores in the country. Additionally, its proximity to Swinley Forest makes it an excellent jumping-off point for world-class mountain biking and forest walks.
